Laurie Fischer, senior consultant with Cohasset Associates, Inc., is a frequent speaker on records management and technology-related topics. Laurie presented "Managing Electronic Records: Basic Framework for Getting Started" to the ARMA Nebraska Chapter.

Bruce Miller, President of RIMtech, Inc., presented "Implementing Electronic Recordkeeping - Getting it Right for Your Organization" to the ARMA Nebraska Chapter. This seminar probed the underlying barriers to success while using Electronic Document & Records Management Systems (EDRMS), such as business culture and policies, user complacence, technological issues, etc. Attendees learned a new implementation strategy developed by Bruce Miller, the inventor of modern e-records software.

Rachael Heade, Microsoft Law and Corporate Affairs, presented "Process for Transitioning Records From Acquired Companies" to the ARMA Nebraska Chapter. Rachael discussed some of the key concepts and processes she has found essential for successfully capturing the records of acquired companies as well as some of her experiences and lessons learned.

Joanna Blackburn, CRM - Manager of Corporate Records at Starbucks Coffee Company presented “What's up with Records Management at Starbucks?” to the ARMA Nebraska Chapter. This meeting marked the annual Holiday Gift Auction. Proceeds benefitted the Northeat Family Center in Lincoln, NE.

Randy Cecrle, a member of the ARMA Nebraska Chapter, from the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court, presented "Managing Structured & Unstructured Data in Relational Databases as Records". The November training seminar was ARMA Nebraska Chapter's annual IT Day meeting, where members were encouraged to bring a person from their company's IT department for free!

Phil Droege, Director of White House Records Management, presented "The Unique Challenges of Managing White House Records". The October training seminar was ARMA Nebraska Chapter's annual Bosses Day meeting, where members were encouraged to bring a boss for free!

Jesse Wilkins presented a 1/2 day workshop on blogs, wikis and RSS feeds to the ARMA Nebraska Chapter. Jesse works for Access Sciences Corporation and serves on ARMA International's board of directors.

ARMA International held the annual conference and expo in Baltimore, Maryland this year.

Susan McKinney presents, Privacy and Records Management: How to Protect Your Organization and Yourself. Also, the Nebraska Chapter held it's annual awards program.

Mike Salvarezza, Altria Corporate Services, Inc., presented Records Management Compliance & the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure: A Case Study at the May 2007 seminar.
